Chongqing-Dazu Chamber of Commerce Chongqing Guangdong and the Management Committee of Chongqing Shuangqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone have signed an agreement for an investment of 10 billion yuan (about 1.5 billion U.S. dollars) in Shenzhen on December 28, 2020.
The signing aims to build the Dazu-Guangdong industrial park — Greater Bay Area Innovation Valley, marking a huge step for the Chamber to help attract investment in Dazu.
As for the deed, Dazu’s major business owners in Guangdong will come back to Dazu with their advantageous resources to attract some enterprises covering consumer electronics, optoelectronics, intelligent equipment, quality hardware, and modern service to the Valley.
It will undertake the Great Bay Area's industrial transfer and will be built into an intelligent and digital industrial park of real enterprise cluster for resource sharing.
According to the agreement, the Valley will be built in three phases, with a total land use of 2 square kilometers. After the construction completion, it will generate an annual output of more than 20 billion yuan and a tax payment of more than 400 million yuan.
“The construction of Dazu-Guangdong industrial park is a practical action for Dazu business owners in Guangdong to support the development of Dazu," said Chen Xiaohua, President of the Chamber. "It is an important initiative for the Chamber to lead its members to take advantage of Dazu as a pacesetter, as well as the strategic opportunity of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle to achieve common development and make them stronger.”
