Raffles Medical Group opened a 700-bed hospital in Southwest China’s Chongqing, making it the first comprehensive international hospital of full foreign investment in this Chinese municipality. The hospital will not only provide medical services to citizens and foreigners in Chongqing, but also participate in the medical aid in the region of Southwest China.

 

A comprehensive international hospital

The Raffles Hospital is located in Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing, with an investment of about RMB 800 million. As a comprehensive international hospital, it will offer both outpatient and inpatient services. In addition to Raffles' traditional special departments including tumor, maternity, pediatrics, reproductive, and dental, other comprehensive departments of emergency, internal medicine system, surgical system, and Chinese medicine will be opened as well.

On one hand, Raffles will bring the advanced treatment methods, international medical standards and management standards to Chongqing. On the other hand, the hospital will recruit doctors from overseas. Meanwhile, it will send the local doctors to study abroad for more advanced training.
