Chongqing - Alibaba Group has promoted the development of smart technology in Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality, especially since last year’s Smart China Expo. 

SCE 2019 is approaching and scheduled to open on August 26. And Alibaba Cloud city forum will take place this August.

According to Chen Bin, vice president of Alibaba Cloud China, Alibaba Intelligent Chongqing Center settled in Liangjiang New Area in January this year involves intelligent networked cars, smart cities, inclusive finance, and personnel training.

Intelligent Internet of Vehicles

The center signed a strategic cooperation with Chongqing Sokon Industrial Group Co., Ltd., and the two sides will carry out comprehensive agreement to jointly promote the collaboration in application and industrialization covering digital economy, intelligent technology, and intelligent Internet of Vehicles.

The first new energy vehicle SF5 of Jinkang SERES, a subsidiary of Sokon Group, will be equipped with the Ali OS 2.0 car networking system independently developed by Alibaba, which will significantly enhance the consumer's operating experience. The model was put into production this April and is expected to launch in September this year.

"Chongqing has the largest automobile industry cluster in the country," Mr. Chen said. Alibaba will continue to promote the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industries in Liangjiang News Area and Chongqing at large through cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things.

Smart City

In terms of building a smart city, Liangjiang New Area has teamed up with Alibaba to build an intelligent city digital platform project based on the core technology of Alibaba Cloud City Brain, which will help the digital and creative transformation and upgrading in transportation, parking, medical care, education, and urban management.

According to Chen Bin, the project is expected to enter the application stage by the end of this year, making the Liangjiang New Area a pioneering demonstration area for smart cities.

Talent cultivation

Talent cultivation is another critical area for Alibaba Intelligent Chongqing Center. Alibaba has reached a cooperation intention with nine local universities in Chongqing, such as Chongqing University, to cultivate professionals in the field of big data intelligence jointly.

In the field of education, more than 1,000 schools have joined the Future Campus program in Chongqing to create a digital management platform and improve teaching efficiency.

In addition, other business sectors of Alibaba have also landed in various parts of Chongqing. Taking government service as an example, Alipay has launched more than 300 urban services in Chongqing, covering over 10 million Chongqing Alipay users.

Chen Bin said that Alibaba Intelligent Chongqing Center would also strengthen cooperation in personnel training and industrial agglomeration to jointly improve Chongqing's big data intelligent ecosystem and enhance the application of new generation technology in Chongqing.
