The construction sites will be intelligent-automated in 3 years, the Chongqing government announced on July 6 that there will be more than 2000 Smart Construction Sites (hereafter, SCS) in the city by 2020. In Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, as the central pilot area of SCS, all the construction sites will be intelligent-automated by the end of this year.

SCS, a new construction management and control mode, is based on the platforms like Internet Plus, Internet of Things, big data, and cloud computing, through the application of site information management and intelligent technique, to effectively reduce construction cost, improve decision-making ability and management efficiency, and therefore to make the construction sites digital and intelligent automated.

In order to promote the SCS, the eligible housing construction projects of over 20,000 square meters  in urban areas, and the municipal infrastructure projects of more than RMB 20 million must be built as SCS. Other counties in Chongqing should also build at least two SCS this year to ensure no less than 600 SCS in 2018 totally.

Furthermore, the construction permit will not be issued to the company if its construction scheme is unqualified for the Technical Standards for Smart Construction Sites. By doing so, it will drive the builders to try SCS eventually.
