According to the agreement, both sides will deepen their cooperation and unleash the advantages of the platform of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI) and industries in the Yubei District. They will establish a joint working group and set up a communication and coordination mechanism on a regular basis.
The two sides will also co-build a China-Singapore (Chongqing) international aviation logistics industry demonstration base by integrating sources like China-Singapore aviation industrial park, Mu’er aviation logistics park, Chongqing airport aviation logistics park, and airport international commerce and trade logistics park.
Meanwhile, co-building the demonstration base will better use the platform resources of the CCI, for example, advanced management experience and technology from Singapore. In addition, the influence of the demonstration base will be expanded through joint promotion and investment attraction activities.
Moreover, both sides will co-build China-Singapore big data and smart technology industry demonstration base with the Xiantao Big Data Valley. They will also actively carry out cooperation in multiple fields such as finance, culture and tourism, medical treatment and health, trade in services, and city management. For example, both sides will make joint efforts to promote companies based in the Yubei District to issue bonds and be listed in Singapore and set up financial organizations mutually in the sector of financial services.
In terms of education and training, Yubei District will cooperate with universities and colleges in Singapore to set up the Singapore (Chongqing) young talents station, which will make Yubei District a demonstration window for young talents from both places to conduct exchanges and communication, generate innovations and start a business.
According to Yang Man, deputy mayor of Yubei District, the district is engaged in building the Xiantao Big Data Valley into a demonstration site of China-Singapore cooperation in information and communications and constructing China-Singapore aviation industry park with all-out efforts. For instance, smart lamp posts and autonomous vehicles, which demonstrate smart city cooperation, have been put into use in the Xiantao Big Data Valley.
Yubei District has also successfully brought in Global Logistic Properties from Singapore and signed contracts with universities in Singapore, including the University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, for cross-border internships.
