5G Smart Technology Summit, an essential part of 2019 Smart China Expo (SCE), will be held in Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center on the morning of August 27. This summit has invited more than 30 influential guests in the industry, academia, research fields to examine the promising future of 5G application. They include such academic superstars as Nikolai Vassiliev, Director of the Terrestrial Services Department of the Radiocommunication Sector of International Telecommunication Union, Ding Wenhua, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Liu Duo, President of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and such foremost leaders as Liu Guiqing, Executive Vice President of China Telecom Corp., Ltd., as well as related seniors of equipment suppliers like Ericsson, ZTE Corporation and Huawei. In addition, Meng Pu, Chairman of the chip supplier Qualcomm China, will deliver a keynote speech on-site, and 5G intelligent application representative enterprises’ leaders including Wei Yingbiao, Chairman of Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Liu Song, Vice President of Alibaba Group will attend the summit and the keynote speech. Besides, senior executives from traditional manufacturing and technology enterprises like Chang’an Automobile (Group) Co., Ltd., iFlytek, and CQNEWS will also attend the summit. They will present a feast of ideas about the future commercial use of 5G.

Outside the summit venue, a 5G experience area has been set up. Numerous fresh 5G application experience including 5G mobile phones, 5G and VR and 5G and robotics, will better prove the huge market prospects of the 5G network.

During the SCE, China Telecom Chongqing Branch, China Mobile Chongqing Branch, China Unicom Chongqing Branch and China Tower Chongqing Branch built a complete 5G experience scene there, where a series of 5G life experience with sci-fi features are available for citizens, comprising 5G calls, network speed test, 16-channel 4K live HD videos, one-day tour in Chongqing via VR equipment, remote driving, etc.

Moreover, citizens can also visit Lijia Smart Eco-city in Liangjiang New Area, Yubei Xiantao Big Data Valley Smart Transportation and Automatic Drive Demonstration Zone, Yuelai Smart Life Interactive Experience Zone, Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone (Nan’an District) China Intelligence Valley (Chongqing) Science Park Smart Technology Experience Zone, Jiefangbei 5G Exhibition Hall and Jiefangbei Yangtze River Cableway.
