Chongqing - In these a few days, Chongqing has been witnessing a series of wonderful and in-depth communication activities with its sister city – Minsk. The delegation led by the governor of Minks – Mr. Isachanka Anatoli arrived in Chongqing on March 21^st and started the visit to seek broader and deeper cooperation with Chongqing in trade and business, cultural tourism etc.

On the morning of March 22^st the China Chongqing – Belarus Minsk Business Forum was held in the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government. The forum brought together Minsk delegation and local business groups, which helped them to get great chances to talk and get to know more about each other.

During the forum, 3 agreements between governments were signed, covering future cooperation plan, cooperation in education, business and trade area. 5 agreements between companies from both sides were signed, at a value of over USD 40 million.  

After the fruitful signing ceremony, Mr. Isachanka took the interview with iChongqing, to share his thoughts on the cooperation between Chongqing and Minsk.

“Minsk and Chongqing have reached two important achievements.” Said the Governor firmly. “The Belarus Culture and Tourism products Promotion Center has been opened in Chongqing. It is a platform that can help to promote cooperation between Chongqing and Minsk.” He explained the first achievement. Then he continued with the second one, “Tomorrow, we will attend the opening ceremony of VELES Meat Trading Company. It is the first company that Minsk has invested in China.”

The governor thought that what’s the most important is that Minsk and Chongqing could deliver practical cooperation. And he hoped more and more companies from Belarus could come to Chongqing to set up companies and vice versa.

It is Mr. Isachanka's first visit to Chongqing. At the question of his impression on the city, he said, “The architectures here are so beautiful. It boasts amazing natural landscapes. I admire Chongqing people’s wisdom to build such a beautiful city.”
