Established on June 29, 2010, Yufu New Town is located in the eastern part of Liangjiang New Area. With a planned population of 300,000 and a planned area of 67 square kilometers, including Jiangbei District's Yuzui Town, Fusheng Town, and some area of Guojiatuo Subdistrict (two towns and one subdistrict), it serves as the eastern gateway to the Liangjiang New Area, a connector of the Belt and Road Initiative, a main carrier of China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the core area of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI).

So far, Yufu New Town has implemented a total investment of nearly 42.58 billion yuan, has acquired 62 square kilometers of land, and signed 152 investment projects with the total amount reaching 111.1 billion yuan, of which 6 billion U.S. dollars come from overseas.  In terms of automobile industry, a strategic pattern with a total value of more than 300 billion yuan that is supported by four auto companies of Beijing Hyundai, Changan Automobile, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile and Xiaokang New Energy and 77 support companies including Germany's ThyssenKrupp AG, Mexico's Nemak, Japan's Yazaki Corporation, the United States' Federal-Mogul and Italy's SOFIMA; comprehensive logistics and modern service sector has introduced six warehousing logistics enterprises including Goodman, Prologis, Jiaoyun, LJML Logistics and Man Sun Logistics, Chongqing Guoyuan Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) has been put into operation and the construction of  Sino-Singapore (Chongqing) Multimodal Transportation Demonstration Base is well in progress; the construction of a batch of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, communications and sewage has started, 1.03 million square meters of public rental houses, 2.37 million square meters of temporary dwellings and 1.07 million square meters of office buildings have been built; Liangjiang High-speed Railway Square and Liangjiang Mingyue Square have been opened to public and become popular shot spots in Chongqing by virtue of a sea of canola flowers in spring and a sea of sunflowers in autumn, and Sanbanxi, Shiheqing, Shuangxi and other theme parks will be completed; Liangjiang International Yuzui Experimental Middle School, Liangjiang Experimental Middle School of Chongqing No.18 Middle School (Group) and Fusheng Experimental School have been opened; and a batch of livelihood projects including Fusheng High-speed Railway Station, Shuangxi Nursing Home, the Exit-Entry (Yuzui) Office Building of the Jiangbei District Branch of the Public Security Bureau and a fire station have been put into operation.
