Spring is a season for flowers blooming. If you like to linger in the vast sea of flowers and feel the breath of spring, then Chongqing Beibei is definitely a good place to enjoy your visit.

Beibei District has many kinds of flowers, including peach, cherry and plum blossoms. The Jinyun Mountain with a new appearance is a good choice to appreciate flower and climb.  At the same time, many tourist areas in the district have also launched a variety of activities.

Here are three recommended routes for people who are interested in spring tours, and if possible, driving is better.

Xishanping Linglongyuan (“西山坪苓茏苑” in Chinese)

The 6th Xishanping Flower Festival will take place between mid-March and early April. In addition to the peach blossoms, the Linglongyuan Scenic Area will also launch the lawn carnival parent-child theme event, the “ecological food gathering” agricultural product exhibition and sales activities, the “township building memory”, the past and present theme cultural exhibition activities and etc.

All these events combine entertainment and appreciation, encouraging people of all ages to participate. There are delicious farmhouse dishes along the way to activate the taste buds, giving visitors a wonderful journey with mountains, flowers and food.

Pear blossoms

The best time to appreciate cherry blossoms in Jindaoxia Town is from late February to mid-March, pear blossoms in Shengtianhu Village from the end of March to the middle of April.

From early March to late May, Meizhuang Farm will highlight farming culture experience, focusing on vegetable planting and picking. Apart from that, the public can also have barbecues.

Yunwu Mountain in Chengjiang Town (“澄江云雾山” in Chinese)

In March 1200 mu (0.8 km²) of peach blossoms in Chengjiang Town will be spectacular.
