With the rapid development of the IT industry, Chongqing completed the world’s largest notebook production base and industrial cluster. The electronics industry, including laptop computers, has become an important support base for the development of aviation logistics. It benefits by the growth of orders from internationally renowned enterprises, such as Hewlett-Packard and Acer Incorporated. To serve the layout of related industries, Chongqing is accelerating the development of aviation logistics.

In addition, the city opened all-cargo routes to major cities in Europe, America and Asia such as Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Moscow, Anchorage, Chicago, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and Hong Kong, thus building up a network of routes covering major freight hubs.

Chongqing will introduce international airlines to fasten the construction of international air cargo here

In 2017, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport completed 366,000 tons of cargo shipping throughput, ranking No.11 in China. International logistics has expedited its development with an international postal throughput of 133,000 tons. It has obtained a first ranking in West China, with a year-on-year increase of 10.7%. Moreover, 12 all-cargo aircrafts companies carried 94,000 tons of cargo. This accounts for 70.7% of the international (regional) cargo shipping throughput. Additionally, all-cargo capacity has played a key role in international freight transport.

Speeding up the Construction of International Air Cargo

Afterward, Chongqing will actively introduce large domestic and foreign airlines to increase capacity delivery. Meanwhile, Chongqing also enriches as well as expand the network of cargo routes. Chongqing focuses more on promoting the opening of freight routes to major destinations such as Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. Also, Chongqing will encrypt cargo routes to North America and other regions. The city enhances the capacity of freight transfer and distribution. Besides, Chongqing promotes the optimization of the business processes of airport customs and inspection service and further make good use of the import and export functions of various aviation ports. Therefore, these steps facilitate the development of Chongqing into an inland international logistics hub.

In addition, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport will work with Chongqing Airlines to build a flag-based airline. Cooperating with the construction of the “smart port”, it will promote the facilitation of customs clearance as well as continuously optimize and improve the “24-7 service” for customs clearance of air cargo and mail transportation.
