Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) insists on open schooling, takes internationalization as an important development strategy of the university, focuses on international cooperation and exchange, establishes various international exchange programs, and actively promotes the internationalization process.

CQUPT has conducted academic exchanges, joint education and co-establishment of R&D bases with more than 50 foreign universities. At present, the university is engaged in joint training, short-term student exchange/credit exchange, paid internship and short-term scientific and cultural exchange with more than 40 universities in the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Russia, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Singapore, etc. The university is striving to promote Sino-foreign cooperative education projects and promote "1+2+1" "2+2", "3+1", "4+1" and other modes of international talent training programs. CQUPT has established the first overseas joint schooling base with ISEP and has been awarded the study abroad exchange program by the China Scholarship Council for school students.

CQUPT is a university under the Chinese government scholarship program for international students coming to China, and it is the only university in southwest China to receive the national quality certification for study in China through the first batch of 27 pilot universities. At present, there are more than 400 international students from 60 countries studying at the university, among which the proportion of graduate students is more than 50%.
