Chongqing - The Opening Ceremony and Signing of Major Cooperation Agreements at WCIFIT kicked off on the morning of May 16. A total of 132 major projects were signed at an overall contract value of 337.53 billion yuan at the event.

The signed contracts cover areas such as new material, new energy automobile, Biopharmaceuticals, intelligent manufacturing, ecological protection, high-end logistics, cloud computing, and cultural tourism. 

In the signing ceremony, the signing parties are from 7 foreign countries including Japan, Germany, Singapore, South Korea and Australia, China’s Special Administrative Regions- Hongkong and Macao, Chongqing's districts, counties, open platforms, relevant municipal departments, enterprises, provinces like Guizhou, Shaanxi, Shandong, Shanxi, Guang’an and Nanchong of Sichuan Province, Changdu of Tibet autonomous region and so on.

The provinces and cities outside of Chongqing signed 26 projects at a total contract value of 17.85 billion yuan. Chongqing signed 106 projects at a total contract value of 319.68 billion yuan.

Domestic capital sources of contracted projects in Chongqing are mainly from provinces and cities such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Beijing, Shanghai, Hebei, Guangdong, Sichuan and Shenzhen. The main sources of foreign investment come from countries including Japan, Germany, Singapore, and Australia.

Here are major projects signed during the signing ceremony. New energy automobile project at the value of 4 billion yuan with an annual output of 120 thousand sets was signed between Changshou Industrial Park and Sitech Electrical Automobile Industrial Co., Ltd in Guian Developing Area. Longxi river basin water environment comprehensive treatment and the sustainable development pilot project at the value of 3.37 billion yuan between Changjiang Eco-environmental Protection Group Co., Ltd. and Liangping District People’s Government. Three Gorges International Agricultural and Byproduct Distribution Base project at the value of 2.53 billion yuan between Hong Kong Sunrising Fruit Investment Co., Ltd and Wanzhou District People’s Government. Water paint project at the value of 2 billion yuan with an annual output of 6 billion yuan between Chenyang Industry and Trade Co. Ltd in Hebei Province and Yongchuan District People’s Government. Polymer Material Project at the value of 1 billion between Wote Advanced Materials Co., Ltd in Shenzhen and Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone.
