Chongqing Pavilion, Chongqing Smart Parks Pavilion and Dazu Pavilion of 2019 Smart China Expo (SCE) saw a wave of high technologies from Dazu High-tech Zone. These included crawling robots that are all-pervasive, large drones that can fly 30-meter high to put out fires, equipment vehicles, and the TardisX elevator. Technological products presented by the Zone involved fields like smart firefighting, new energy, big data, and smart hardware, showing rich fruits of intellectual development there.

Companies from the Zone unveiled charming Made-in-Dazu products at the SCE, such as smart firefighting drones, GaN-on-Si epitaxial wafer, elevator IoT and multi-functional carrying robot. They tried to seize the opportunity to exhibit their core technologies.

The S300 smart crawling robot from Chongqing Hande Gaoke Robot Co., Ltd. was eye-catching. It improved efficiency and lowered the risks of pipeline inspection when conducted by human workers. The robot can easily get into pipelines with four wheels. More than that, it has been applied to investigation and exploration of mines, acceptance inspection of tunnels, earthquake and fire rescue, disaster assistance, powerline inspection, etc.
Fuzhou Fast Elevator Industrial Co., Ltd. brought its independently-developed TardisX elevator to the SCE. The product consists of 7 elevators, which can operate simultaneously in one shaft. The three-door car, along with automatic separation system, can properly disperse large waiting crowds. Compared to a traditional elevator, it covers only 1/5 area, or, is 500% as efficient.
“A series of smart manufacturing projects, including the ones from Hande Gaoke and Fast Elevator, revealed the sound development of big data and intellectual industry in Dazu High-tech Zone," said Zhou Shuyun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of Management Committee of Dazu High-tech Zone. “SCE is a world-class communication and cooperation platform for the intelligence industry. For Dazu High-tech Zone, this event is also a chance to promote and learn, to keep up with Chongqing’s strategic layout and to bring its intellectual industry into the international arena.”
According to the Smart China Expo (SCE), led by Big Data Intelligence, Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone has made certain achievements in promoting park construction, industrial development, and scientific and technological innovation. The introduced new high-tech enterprises keep upgrading, and triumphant news in investment attraction and intelligence introduction keeps pouring in.
By the first half of 2019, Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone has a built area of 5 Square kilometers, with a total fixed-asset investment of about RMB 15 billion. It is expected that by 2021, the zone will achieve a total industrial output value of 50 billion RMB. Moreover, breakthroughs have been made in attracting investment in large industrial projects such as intelligent equipment, special vehicles for new energy vehicles and integrated circuits, and many projects with a single investment of more than one billion RMB have been successfully introduced.
This year, the zone selected the one-billion-yuan Chongqing Red Star Rare Earth High-tech Material Project. Its total output value was 3 billion RMB after reaching the designed capacity, the annual tax payment exceeded 25 million RMB, and about 200 people were employed.
Liu Zhengtao, General Manager of Red Star Holdings Ltd., said that the “nanny-style” service concept of Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone impressed him deeply. The zone treasures enterprises and entrepreneurs, making them feel a sense of belonging.
Fire-fighting drones developed by Chongqing Flying General Aviation Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. effectively solved the difficulty of high-rise firefighting, making it China’s only one high-end technology enterprise specializing in high-rise fire-fighting drones. The 126-meter-high elevator test tower built by Schmidt Elevator is ready, helping it become Chongqing’s only one enterprise obtaining the production qualification of the ultra-high-speed elevator with a lifting speed of 8m/s.
Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone sees newly developed products almost every month, and it’s now able to produce numerous sophisticated products independently.
Following the path of integrated “research and development + incubation + industrialization,” the zone has introduced China’s first comprehensive environmental protection industrial base of Chinese Academy of Sciences, key smart robots invented by Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and other scientific and technological innovation subjects. It has also set up a scientific and technological enterprise database and helped enterprises improve innovation capacity to develop and produce high-tech products by using innovation resources. This not only ensures steady growth of the total industrial output value but also keeps optimizing the industrial structure.
Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone is one of the three smart equipment industrial bases in Chongqing and the city’s only one special equipment industrial demonstration park. At present, it is implementing five projects, including innovation carrier construction, emerging industry introduction, innovation subject development, innovative personnel gathering, and scientific and technological achievement transformation. Besides, it continually optimizes the software and hardware environment for scientific and technological innovation, vigorously introduces scientific research subjects and talent, and creates an atmosphere of scientific research innovation led by the government and dominated by enterprises.
In recent years, the zone highlights high-tech in virtue of innovation-driven development. It begins with establishing national high-tech industrial development zones to foster and develop strategic emerging industries vigorously. Nowadays, a new city of smart technology is rising, and it gradually becomes an essential driving force to promote the quality development of the regional economy and society.
Zhou Shuyun introduced that, at the beginning of the construction, Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone did the planning with high standards. It’s committed to building “important smart equipment industrial bases in the city,” “environmental protection equipment industrial bases” and “a new city of smart technology that suitable for living, business, and commerce in East Dazu” with the new high-tech industry as the core and building national high-tech zones as the focus.
“In the future, the zone will hammer at building the largest special equipment industrial demonstration park and the largest cluster of automobile and motorcycle industry and environmental protection pipelines in Chongqing and even Southwest China.” Zhou Shuyun added that, at present, Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone has developed three industrial clusters of advanced smart manufacturing and equipment, electronic information, and environmental protection equipment, built a new high-tech industrial zone integrating production, research and development, and business office, constructed a modern, intensive, efficient and green new industrial area, and formed three ten-billion-yuan industry clusters of intelligent equipment, environmental protection equipment and modern automobile and motorcycle.
