When the Spring Festival is coming, family shopping for the yearly greatest event is an important task for everyone, while traditional Chinese foods and overseas cuisine on a big fair are wildly welcomed. Preparing the goods for the Festival with parents are the tradition for some locals in Chongqing, a fest of the family reunion.

On January 11^th, the 18^th Western China (Chongqing) International Agricultural Products Fair (CCIAPF) was launched in Chongqing. 

On January 12^th, the CCIAPF’s second day, coincided with the weekend, the crowds who came to visit the exhibition and buy new year’s products were in a constant stream. Compared with previous years, the local agricultural products in the exhibition are not only richer in variety, but also the improved quality.

On January 13^th, as ends of 18:00, the fair has attracted a total of 140,000 visitors, with on-site sales reaching 130 million Yuan and on-site signing of sales and purchase contracts of 2.47 billion Yuan. In addition, investment projects have reached 120 million Yuan. The three-day on-site sales have accumulated more than 300 million Yuan in total.

The 1^st time setting of the Belt and Road exhibition area, 500+ Variety of featured products are on display. Sea cucumbers from Russia, Australian chocolates, French Bordeaux wines, and Vietnamese coffees... In the Belt and Road exhibition area, international high-quality products are dazzling. Most visitors stop to taste and buy.

Winter-sweet  sold out in a half day

At present, it is the time when wintersweet flowers diffuse the fragrant.  A touch of gold open to the public has added a lot of warm colors to the bleak winter.

Entering the Beibei Exhibition Hall,  the sweet fragrance attracted crowds to stop. According to the staff, these winter-sweet blossoms are authentic and cherished on display. "It’s hard to collect 30 bunches of flowers in Jingguan, the planting area, and we only have four left in half a day."

It is understood that "the best viewing period of winter-sweet is as short as only one month. If you missed, you could only wait another year", said the staff at the pavilion.

Walnut Oil  made its sales boom

In the Chengkou pavilion, a wild walnut oil product has sold out for a long time, and it became a sales dark horse on the agricultural fair.

"The original price was 368 Yuan each,  280 Yuan for the Agricultural Fair !" said Chunmao Cai, a 60-year-old CEO from Chengkou Jiuzhongshan Industrial Co., Ltd. He introduced the latest wild walnut oil products developed by his company.

The raw material of this wild walnut oil is the walnut on the mountains  1800 meters above sea level. Because of this iron walnut oil, the National Grain and Oil Standardization Technical Committee revised three walnut oil related standards.

At present, the products have passed IS9001 quality system certification, organic food certification, and original ecological origin product certification. Furthermore, 6 national invention patents have been obtained, and the production technology and utilization of wild walnut oil are at the advanced level in the world.

Big discounts on the last day

The Fair closes tomorrow, so many merchants will have discounts and promotions. Last year, for example, many exhibitors made big promotions on the last day.

A staff from Agricultural Fair said that individual merchants will give profits to the customers on the basis of the factory direct selling price. Therefore, foodies and visitors shall not miss this opportunity to explore Chongqing local culture and shopping interests for Chinese new year.
