You may miss cherries, mulberries, loquats, or strawberries in spring. However, as the weather is becoming scorching hot, lots of blueberries are becoming ripe in Chongqing. It is not so hot currently, so let’s take the chance to pick the blueberries in the suburbs of Chongqing.

There are many blueberry planting farms in Chongqing, and the following paragraphs will recommend the well-selected ones, where you can not only pick this fruit but also have fun in their neighboring scenic spots.

Lecui Blueberry Park in Daguan Town, Nanchuan District

Lecui Blueberry Park is located by Daguan Town, Nanchuan District, and the blueberries, about 0.26 square kilometers, have become ripe. It must be great fun of harvest to carry a basket and pick the blueberries. In recent days, the verbenas and roses are also in full blossom, adding the romantic atmosphere of May.

Traffic route: Downtown—Chongqing-Changsha Expressway—get off the expressway at Daguan Town—drive along Lixianghu Avenue for six kilometers and turn left to Lecui Blueberry Park

Lixiang Lake, honored as the “little Switzerland”, enjoys glistening water and unique charm. In Daguan Town, the lavenders of some varieties are coming out gradually, drawing a colorful and gorgeous picture.

Colorful Blueberry Garden in Gi’an Town, Yongchuan District

Colorful Blueberry Garden situates on the beautiful Huanggua Mountain in Yongchuan District. There are lots of fresh blueberries. The cloudy coating on them highlights the unique growing environment here! It is also a great destination for camping. The colorful tents on the green lawn present a tranquil and beautiful picture.

Traffic route: Downtown Chongqing–Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway–Yongchuan 1st Ring Road–Huangguashan Forest Avenue–Zhonghua Pear Village, 5.5 kilometers ahead for the destination

Gardenias are blooming on the Huanggua Mountain. In early summer, the mountain is covered with lush tea trees and bamboos. You can smell the fragrance of tea.

Blueberry Base in Anyu Village, Fuhuan Town, Qijiang District

The blueberry garden rises and falls along the mountain. Ripe blueberries partly hidden in the low bushes show the rural aesthetics. There are nearly 0.2-square-kilometer of blueberries, with a high content of water and anthocyanin. Most importantly, the blueberry light meal offered here is such a big boon for gourmands!

It is a great experience to live in a homestay in Qijiang District. Fuhuan Town adjoins Dongxi Ancient Town in the west. You can spend half the day sightseeing there. Another enjoyable thing – you have a chance for visiting Gujian Mountain Scenic Area if you plan to go to Fuhuan Town.
