Ouyang, a big fan of Chongqing in Southwest China, uses intangible cultural heritage forms of grasscloth and collage to display the city. He has represented the landscapes of the mountains, waters and city of Chongqing in the past and the current times. His works are with Chongqing features, for example, stilted houses, the cableway and a light-rail train passing through an apartment.
It is a manual-made folding fan made by Rongchang grasscloth, patterned with the bamboo-split buildings of the old Chongqing.

As the Yangtze River Cableway has been famous in recent years, Ouyang utilized it as the material in his oil painting.
“Ode to New Chongqing” is a painting in collage form. Featuring Yuzhong Peninsula and the intersection of the two rivers, it is of abstract and artistic beauty.
Rongchang grasscloth adds to the charm of the light rail going through an apartment building, winning favors from netizens.
Chinese ink paintings with Chongqing elements boast the classical beauty of traditional Chinese paintings and the regional characteristics of Chongqing.
