Beauty Therapy Project of the Belt and Road International Skills Competition (BRISC) was held on the morning of May 28. It attracted many audiences, hoping to learn some cosmetic skills.
Living up to expectations, competitors even turned the competition into an art feast. Nevertheless, many people do not know beauty therapy needs carefulness, patience and is tiring.
The project consists of Advanced Facial Care, Skin Care, Eyelash Implants + Mini French Manicure, and Makeup + Manicure. Competitors were divided into three groups, of which two were for Advanced Facial Care and one for Skin Care.
Competitors performed corresponding therapies on models assigned to them via random drawing before the competition.
“Models had varied features, which required competitors to deliver different therapies.” Wang Peng, the chief referee of this project and leader of the Chinese Experts Team, said these models were customers of competitors.
Therefore, the latter needed to understand the former’s features and choose appropriate therapy, in an effort to provide a satisfying experience. All of these would impact on competitors’ scores.
“Beauty therapy performance is a test for cooperation between breath and strength,” said Liu Jiajia, a competitor who has been learning this skill for three years. Meanwhile, Skin Care is the most physically demanding: competitors had to squat for about 30 minutes in total during the 160-minute competition.
