During the 2018 Tour in Chongqing of China Major State-owned Enterprises in the 1st Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), Chongqing gained a total contract amount of RMB 179.2 billion, with 42 projects signed. According to Chongqing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission by late April this year, with the implementation of 24 out of the 42 projects, the investment amount reached nearly RMB 56 billion.

The Southwest Research and Development Center  (the Center) of Aisino Corporation officially operated recently, as one of the settled projects, boasting a research and development (R&D) team of 50 members with 50 more persons set to join in the near future. According to a Center spokesperson, future research would focus mainly on the tax, enterprise management system and social information collection platform of golden shield projects. By utilizing big data and intelligent technologies, the Center aims to promote the informatization of government affairs and enterprise management in Southwest China.

Among the 24 settled projects, 8 have been put into production/operation including the Center, the Agricultural Investment Project of Sinochem Fuling Chongqing Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., and the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and Operation and Maintenance Center of Hikvision. In addition, 6 projects have started construction including the Industrial Research and Development Headquarter Base of the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited in Chongqing, the United Microelectronics Center of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation in Chongqing. In addition, the contracts of 10 projects have been formally signed, such as the STS Electric Vehicle Production Base of China Communications Construction Company Ltd.

Since the signing of the projects, Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, relevant departments, districts, counties, and state-owned enterprises in the city have made remarkable progress in promoting the implementation of cooperation projects through high-level services and high-quality control.

According to Chongqing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the project cooperation of 2018 Tour in Chongqing of Central Enterprises covers various aspects of modern agriculture, urban construction, ecological environment, cultural tourism, and energy development. Furthermore, most of the projects focus on promoting industrial transformation and upgrades as well as in-depth integration of traditional industries and strategic emerging industries. Among them, projects like the Southwest Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Group, the Intelligent Innovation Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited in Beibei District,  and the Industrial Research and Development Headquarter Base of the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited in Chongqing all focus on innovative R&D, which will greatly enhance Chongqing’s strength of scientific and technological innovation.

It is reported that the 2nd session of the WCIFIT will include the activity of 2019 Tour in Chongqing of China Major State-owned Enterprises. In this regard, Chongqing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission has gone to Beijing in early April to communicate with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and has sent an invitation to the central enterprises to attend the WCIFIT.
