Chongqing - The 4th Ecological Tourism Culture Festival in the Southeast Chongqing is to open in Pengshui of Chongqing on July 5, according to the relevant press conference on June 19, 2019. The festival includes 12 themed sub-events concerning tourism, culture, and will be held in the downtown of Chongqing and Chiyou Jiuli Town and Mowei Mountain area in southeastern Chongqing’s Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County.

Specifically, the launching ceremony, ecological and ethnic tourism exhibition, and art performance will take place in Chongqing downtown in early July.  Pengshui will host events including the opening ceremony of the 4th Ecological Tourism Culture Festival in the Southeast Chongqing, and an evening party. Other activities include a lecture on green China, a tour of famous painters and calligraphers as well as media outlets to Pengshui, 2019 Cross-Straits and Hong Kong and Macao Outdoor Challenges - Pengshui Station, the 2nd Chongqing Pengshui Forest Cycling Tournament, and an exhibition of agricultural products and food in southeastern Chongqing.

During the festival, a carnival, aimed at using tourism to alleviate poverty and themed research tour will be carried out. Moreover, to enrich the activities and promote tourism marketing, some counties and districts in Chongqing, namely Qianjiang, Fuling, Nanchuan, Wulong, Shizhu, Xiushan, Youyang, give a full play of their own advantages and specialties. They will plan and arrange the Conference on Wulingshan Tourism Development Alliance, a valley music festival, the 7th Jinfo Mountain Mountaineering Tournament, the 3rd wellness conference, and the 9th Hunan-Chongqing-Guizhou invitational dragon boat match and other activities.

The Ecological Tourism Culture Festival in the Southeast Chongqing is a regional tourism feast co-hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, Chongqing Municipal Committee for Ethnic and Religious Affairs, six counties and district in southeastern Chongqing, Fuling District and Nanchuan District.
