The Chongqing Western Logistics Park is accelerating the railway-based comprehensive system of international logistics channels in its free trade. Therefore, it helps to open up a new channel for international land-sea trade and boost the economic development here. Trains dispatched in four directions have all shown eye-catching performances.

Four new international routes of the China Railway Express (Chongqing) help to realize carrying trade

According to the park that by the end of October, the China Railway Express (Chongqing) has dispatched a total of 991 trains. Moreover, this contains 523 trains departing from Chongqing and 468 returning ones. Newly-added routes from Chongqing to Vietnam, Minsk, Hamburg, and Iran come into service.

365 trains operated on the new international channel for railway-sea trade, covering 192 up trains and 173 down ones. Thus, it realizes the daily operation. Five overseas cargo distribution centers have been set up in regions such as Singapore, Vietnam and China’s Hong Kong. In addition, 149 “YUMANE” (Chongqing-Manzhouli-Russia) trains northwards departs. Meanwhile, 127 “YUYONG” (Chongqing-Ningbo) trains eastwards have been dispatched. Both of them have achieved normal operation.

China Railway Express (Chongqing) Realizes Carrying Trade

In free trade, the park is striving to boost the development of carrying trade. It will connect the China Railway Express (Chongqing) with the new channel of international land-sea trade, so as to realize the carrying trade between Europe and Asia via Chongqing. The park has carried out two tests to deliver South Korean LG electronic products made in Vietnam through the new channel and the China Railway Express (Chongqing), and finally to Poland and Germany. It has also implemented the tobacco test of carrying trade from Belgium to Japan.

In November, the China Railway Express (Chongqing) succeeded in the normal operation of the train returning from Belarus. Dairy raw materials, the major cargo, can be shipped directly to factories nationwide without the need to make a coastal detour.

The main cargo has gradually covered a dozen categories, such as notebook computers, vehicles & parts, communication equipment, machines, automobile accessories, clothes, small appliances, chemicals, food, cold chain, medicine, and medical instruments. Through the investigation on the origin, however, the supply outside Chongqing accounts for over 60%.

As of the end of October, more than 1,500 enterprises in free trade have settled down in the park, involving logistics, trade & business, as well as finance and related supporting fields.
