On the afternoon of January 8, 2019, the first Fuxing bullet train from Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province in Northwest China arrived in Chongqing Bei (North) Station in Southwest China. Its running speed of 160 kilometers per hour has reduced a previous 12-hour journey between the two cities to seven hours.
