International Cultural Tourism Products Present on the 8th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo

The 8th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo (CICIE) has opened on September 12 at Chongqing International Expo Center. It sets up five theme exhibition halls: N1 Share Cultures and Landscapes Hall of Achievements, N2 The Belt and Road Hall of World Cultures, N3 Hall of Culture and Traditional Crafts of China, N4 Trading Hall of Featured Cultural Industries and N6 Hall of Integrated and Innovative Cultural Arts. Among them, the N2 Hall has attracted exhibitors from 28 countries and regions.

A grand feast to taste buds, eyes, and ears

Some exhibitors have also prepared a grand feast to delight visitors’ taste buds, eyes, and ears. On the site, people have chances to taste the wine from Hungary, delicacies from South Korea, and performance of samisen from Japan.

Hungary is located in the geographic center of Europe, and it is a vast country that produces luxurious wines since ancient times. The Consulate General of Hungary in Chongqing has invited four enterprises to participate in the CICIE, and they have brought a lot of wine for visitors to sample for free. Moreover, for better knowledge of the culture, etiquette, and right ways to taste, recognize, and store the wine, in-depth communication with these exhibitors is also welcomed. Hungary is also known as the state of hot spring so that visitors willing to go there for traveling are advised to know more information on related booths.

At the Pavilion of South Korea, fruit wine imported from South Korea and famous delicacies including ramen noodles is available. At the Pavilion of Japan, players from Ehime Prefecture will stage the samisen performance. By then, visitors will enjoy fascinating shows played with traditional Japanese musical instruments and interact with the performers.

Unique cultural creativity to catch eyes

Kangaroo, Sydney Opera House, and the Great Barrier Reef. These are familiar elements about Australia. On this CICIE, visitors can take photos with a 1.5-meter-high simulation kangaroo and buy creative cultural products such as kangaroo and koala dolls. In addition to the Pavilion of Australia, Pavilions of the Netherlands and UK also provide their own featured cultural creative products.

At the Pavilion of the Netherlands, Miffy Rabbits will be staged. It is a small female rabbit in a series of picture books drawn and written by Dutch artist Dick Bruna in 1955. In the Netherlands, the hometown of Miffy, the appearances of its image can be found here and there.

At the British Library of the Pavilion of UK, featured product series is also offered. The British Library is the national library of the UK and one of the largest libraries around the world. It has over 150 million pieces of collections, including books, magazines, manuscripts, maps, music paper, etc.

Besides the above-introduced ones, the N2 Belt and Road Hall of World Cultures has also presented other gorgeous content for visitors to enjoy.
