Speaking of China, Joyce said, “I feel very glad to visit China because my family has a lot of stories to tell about the country. My parents could speak Chinese, and I started learning this language since I was in junior high school. I’ve been to China many times over the years. I love Chinese cuisine and feel satisfied with the delicacies every day. It is my first time in Chongqing, a city with plenty of delicious food, and I cannot wait to enjoy them after the concert.”

2019 marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the 14th year of the Festival Croisements. The two countries have held many activities to celebrate it, and Joyce has done her part. She said, “The Festival Croisements is fantastic. It covers many aspects of cultural exchanges between China and France from music to dance and drama. I believe the two countries have a lot to share. The two peoples are also fond of each other and attacked by each other’s exoticism. To the Chinese people, the French people are a symbol of romance, and to the French people, the Chinese people are industrious and diligent and have made many remarkable achievements. ”
