Chongqing is the Land of Natural Beauty and the City of Cultural Appeal.

Chongqing’s gorgeous landscape is attracting an increasing number of people.

According to 2018 Urban Tourism Index Report jointly released by Ctrip.com International, Ltd., and Baidu Shushuo, Chongqing ranked first in Top 10 China Cities with the Fastest Growth in the Number of Tourists. Roughly estimated, the city received 597,237,100 people from home and abroad throughout 2018, a year-on-year growth of 10.13%; revenue from tourism reached RMB 434.415 billion, a year-on-year increase of 31.32%.

Chongqing is the city with a unique landscape, attracting visitors home and abroad, the image is Yuzhong Peninsula.

During the Dragon Boat Festival, Chongqing welcomed 10,465,800 foreign and domestic tourists, up 10.8% from last year. Data shows it has maintained a similar growth rate at over 10% consecutively for many years. However, it is the first time that the specific number topped 10 million.

What drives people to Chongqing?

In 2019, improvement of Two Rivers and Four Riversides in the main urban area of Chongqing follows the guideline of focusing on individual projects first and covering the entire area next. The first ten construction projects target public spaces like Egongyan Jiangtan Wetland Park, Mouth to the Yangtze River of Huaxi River, Jiulong Waitan Plaza, Shanhu Park section and Liziba section.

Chongqing will also kick off the building of Liangjiang Sanqiao Footpath, which is expected to be finished in 2020. Stretching for 11 kilometers, it will connect multiple riverside roads.

Chongqing is famous for its night skylines.

When night falls, skyscrapers standing in Jiefangbei CBD will light up, shining under the sky. Hongyadong is ablaze with lights, celebrating the busiest time in a day. In Jiangbeizui, nine towers echo the Chongqing Grand Theatre with lights, making a fantastic light show.

Chongqing will have more appealing night scenes. The city intensifies efforts to develop lights into a featured tourism brand, incorporating name cards like 3D Mountain City, River City shining in Lights and Charming Bridge City.
