Chongqing — On September 24, the Press Conference of 2019 Chongqing Autumn Tourism was held in Jiangjin district. Since September, Chongqing’s districts and counties will bring a total of more than 200 activities themed autumn tourism, so that tourists can appreciate the beauty of Chongqing and enjoy the fun of autumn tourism.

Chongqing becomes a popular tourist destination around the world

According to statistics, in the first half of 2019, Chongqing attracted 290 million tourists, realized an increase of 11%, and tourism revenue reached 255.29 billion yuan, grow 32% year on year.

Qin Dingbo, Vice Director of the Chongqing Culture and Tourism Development Committee, introduced at the press conference that the autumn tourism themed activities launched by various districts and counties in Chongqing were colorful and rich in forms, covering concerts, exhibitions, theme festivals, experience activities, and others. Diversified themes, more than a number of tourism routes, integration of culture and tourism, will become the highlight of 2019 Chongqing autumn tourism.

At the press conference, Jiangjin, Rongchang, Wushan, Liangping, these four districts, and counties also made a key promotion of their autumn tourism respectively.

Jiangjin: taste delicious food rich in selenium

This fall, Jiangjin launched a series of tourism activities for tourists to participate in.

Among them, a rural harvest celebration live activity that will be part of the second Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the PRC will unveil in Jiangjin. Fragrant melon and fruit, waiting for visitors to pick.

In addition, Jiangjin will hold the first Baisha Industrial Film Week, Beidu Fish Food festival, Xiaba Island (Image) Resident’s Art Festival, Fishing Festival in a modern agricultural park and other activities.

Rongchang: watch the fashion show

In order to attract more tourists to visit Rongchang in autumn, Rongchang district will hold mountaineering competition, harvest exhibition, agricultural tools exhibition, and other activities from September 23. At the same time, the Gufoshan scenic area is also officially open to the masses of tourists.

It is worth mentioning that Rongchang will also integrate culture and fashion. On the evening of September 25, Zhang Yichao's fashion show will be held in Xiaobu town, Rongchang district. Creative design works related to Rongchang Ramie, China's textile intangible cultural heritage, will be displayed at the fashion show.

By then, elements and cultural symbols of Rongchang Ramie, Rongchang pottery and Rongchang Folding Fan will fully display the exquisite and elegant Rongchang intangible cultural heritage through ingenious design and diversified forms, so as to create a fashionable cultural feast for tourists.

Liangping: experience the custom, “Shaiqiu” or “drying crops in autumn sunshine”

Liangping will hold the Second Shaiqiu Festival. The theme of this autumn festival is " celebrating the harvest of grain". From August to November, there will be three different exhibitions and nine related activities held during the start of autumn, the autumn equinox and the beginning of winter respectively.

Besides, at the press conference, Liangping also launched three autumn cultural tourism routes to invite you to experience Liangping's historical memory and intangible cultural heritage.

Wushan: enjoy the red leaves all over the mountain

Every autumn, red leaves of wushan mountain always attract tourists from home and abroad. During the autumn tourism-themed activities in Chongqing, wushan has specially launched five high-quality tour routes for tourists to choose.

Moreover, the 13th Chongqing Yangtze River three gorges international red leaf festival will open on November 22 in Wushan. This year, Wushan county planned more than 10 activities to show the beauty of red leaves. 2019 Yangtze river three gorges international cross-country race, allowing players to compete while touring the panoramic three gorges; Wushan fish feast will be held in the tourist center of Wushan county for 4 consecutive events, each of which 1000 people will be organized to taste fish and appreciate red leaves at the same time.
