Chongqing- More than 200 cultural tourism activities with local characteristics in 20 districts and counties of Chongqing were revealed at the 2019 Chongqing Tourism Summer Press Conference and Launching Ceremony in Wansheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, June 13, 2019.

Chongqing received 10.4658 million tourists from home and abroad, achieved a total tourism revenue of 6.411 billion RMB (about 927.17 million USD), up by 10.8% and 32.6% year on year respectively, from June 7 to June 9 for China’s Dragon Boat Festival. “That means a good start for Chongqing summer tourism,” said Guo Gang from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development.

Chongqing has intensified the integration of cultural tourism, and the acrobatic show of Magic City and Extreme Happiness Show at the International Circus City of Chongqing represents a good illustration.

The Extreme Happiness Show breaks through the traditional acrobatic performance form, with “modern acrobatic performance” as the core, bringing together gold medals of the Chongqing Acrobatic Art Troupe in recent years in many international and domestic competitions. The cool performances of pimps, bicycles, death wheels, big trampolines, etc., present an exciting, thrilling and unprecedented extreme artistic experience for the audience.

Chongqing in southwestern China has the highest temperatures, often over 40 ℃ (104℉), so knowing where to enjoy pleasant coolness is always a hot topic here. Natural resources like mountains and rivers offer excellent choices for people in Chongqing to enjoy a comfortable summer. Chongqing has more than 700 peaks above 1000 meters above sea level. The average summer temperature in these mountainous areas is below 25 degrees, which is very suitable for summer tours. Wuxi County develops sports tourism to attract more visitors by holding a drifting competition and an international mountain cycling event.

In recent years, with the plentiful supply of Chongqing tourism products and good tourism experience, the hot summer in Chongqing has just become one of the most attractive tourism resources in Chongqing. Unique are travel experiences to eat spicy hot pot and drink cold beer here in Chongqing.
