Artificial Intelligence (AI), along with new information technologies like the Internet, big data, cloud computing, IoT and 5G, has unexpectedly changed aspects of society, production, and life.

No public toilet stood around the Yubei Indoor Stadium on Tengfang Avenue, Xiantao Sub-district before, although the area has many visitors. In June 2019, it finally welcomed a smart public restroom. Future technologies applied there to create a pleasant environment, winning many compliments.
A screen hangs on the wall inside the restroom. It carries an intelligent control system, which uses advanced technologies like cloud computing, infrared sensors, environment perception technology, wireless transmission, etc. People can understand the temperature, humidity, odor concentration, and occupation of each cubicle through the screen.
After the first Smart China Expo (SCE), Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport saw many new future technologies: self-service baggage check-in, full-process tracking system, and to-be-used robot-assisted security check. They all make travel easier.
It is worth noting that the newly-updated self-service baggage check-in system takes three steps only, arousing people’s interests.
Step 1: Scan the ID number by or input the number into the self-service check-in machine, select the seat, and print the boarding pass. Step 2: Print baggage tag, stick the RFID code on the surface of the baggage, and tie the baggage tag to the handle. Put the luggage on the conveyor belt according to instruction, weigh the baggage and check-in after confirming related information. Wait to hear the voice prompt: “Your baggage has been checked in.” Step 3: Take the baggage receipt, and go for security check and boarding. Notice: Do not put power bank, lithium battery, and lighter into the baggage. Tourists can track their baggage before claiming it at the destination airport.
On this New Year’s Day, the Citywide Cultural Tourism Reservation Platform became available on the website of Chongqing Hongyan Alliance Culture Developing Management Center, realizing ticket reservation online. Over the past more than six months, the platform has served over five million tourists, significantly improving the management order of scenic spots.
This March, the AIOT Management and Control Platform of Chongqing Locajoy Theme Park went online, developing such modules as safety management, tourist flow control, energy consumption management, vehicle and vessel management, emergency rescue and targeted marketing. It can improve the management efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance tourists’ experience, as well as realizing the visibility, controllability, and manageability of people, property, and items. “As an upgraded version of the tourist flow monitoring platform of Hongyadong, the AIOT Management and Control Platform has richer functions in addition to monitoring the tourist flow and tourists’ degree of comfort.” According to the relevant person in charge of Chongqing Tourism Cloud Information Technology Co., Ltd., after the system went online, labor costs and tourists’ degree of satisfaction of Chongqing Locajoy Theme Park down by 5% and up by 8% respectively.
The “blistering summer” finally came to Chongqing in early August. At noon, the outdoor temperature is over 40°C in Guanyinqiao Business Circle, Jiangbei District.
To attract customers, all the malls are air-conditioned, but most of them are uncomfortable due to the unbefitting indoor temperature difference. It can be credited to the over one thousand temperature detectors distributed throughout the mall. They monitor the temperature at all time and send immediate feedback of temperature data to the intelligent management platform so that the platform can automatically adjust the temperature. Specifically speaking, the temperature will be adjusted according to the customer flow at different locations and during different periods. After realizing automatic visualization and trend analysis of energy consumption, the operational data will be uploaded to the cloud for big data analysis via the intelligent temperature control technology in the IMIX Park. The ultimate goal is to realize Automatic Machine Learning (AML) and apply this technology to the smart operation of buildings.
