Smart China Cup (2019) of Industrial Design will be held from May to August in Chongqing. Meanwhile, it allows global professional design institutions and designers to submit design schemes involving mechatronics or daily necessities such as electronic information, equipment manufacturing, vehicles, home appliances, medical care, and product packaging.

After such links as online work submission, online appraisal, the finalist competition and the final, the winning works will receive the grand final award and industrial support fund with the highest prize of RMB 50,000 and may be on the tour exhibition and industry incubation roadshow at 2019 Smart China Expo. The judges will comprise top industrial design experts and industry specialists from world-renowned universities, industries, and enterprises to ensure an authoritative, professional and fair competition.

To lead quality development, creating quality life, and achieving smart design and creative intelligence, this competition is dedicated to the integration of art and industries. It is held to discover potential design talent and projects with international competitiveness, find and encourage more and better design ideas and innovative results, to facilitate the transformation and upgrading of Chongqing’s industries with innovative design and promote the integrated development of manufacturing and design industries.

More than 1,000 industrial design companies and institutions from 27 countries worldwide are working together in this competition to promote the matchmaking and cooperation between manufacturing enterprises and design institutions, create a new pattern of integrated development of industrial design and intelligent industries, drive industrial transformation and upgrading in Chongqing, and create a new support belt for China’s economy.

At present, the online registration and works collection channels have been officially opened. Participants can conduct real-name registration and upload works by clicking “Participating (参赛报名/立即报名大赛)” on the official website, or mail the works to the Organizing Committee Office at Unit 3, Building 4, 023 Creative World, Hutouyan, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing (重庆市九龙坡区虎头岩023创意天地4栋3单元忽米网“2019智博杯”大赛组委会办公室).
