Currently, preparations for the 2019 SCE are underway. How can general visitors participate? How to get to the venue? What kinds of cutting-edge technologies can be seen in the exhibition? iChongqing will find the answers for you.
The Smart City exhibition at the Alibaba Intelligent Chongqing Center in Chongqing, China
There are six registration passages under this window, including those for Sign-up for Guests from Chongqing and from outside Chongqing, Exhibitor Registration, Forum Contests, Professional Visitor Registration, and General Visitor Registration.
There are 3 methods to get tickets for visitors:
The duration of this SCE is four days from August 26 to 29. August 26 will be the first professional visitor day and open media day, and the exhibition will not be open to the general visitors on this day. The exhibition will be open to the public on August 27, 28, and 29.
Buses
1. Directions from Lianglu Area to the Airport
Bus 685, Get off at the station of Expo Center Plaza, then walk for 3 minutes.
First and last bus departure time at the origin station: 06:30－19:30
First and last bus departure time at the terminal station: 07:00－20:00
Interval: 10-15 minutes.
2. Directions from Beibei District to Sanxikou:
Bus 572, Get off at the station of Expo Center Plaza, then walk for 3 minutes.
First and last bus departure time at the origin station: 07:40－18:00
First and last bus departure time at the terminal station: 08:10－18:30
Interval: 10-15 minutes.
3. Directions from Yuanyang Road to Jiangbei District:
Take the Light Rail Line 3, get off at the Yuanyang Station, then transfer to the Expo Center Special Line; get off at the station of Expo Center Plaza, then walk for 3 minutes.
Opening and Closing Time: 7:00-19:30
Interval: 3 minutes.
From Jiangbei International Airport
Take the Rail Transit Line 10, get on at the station of T2/T3 terminal of Jiangbei Airport (Wangjiazhuang Direction)→ get off at the Yuelai Station (transfer within the station) →take the Light Rail Line 6 (Lijia Direction)→ get off at the Expo Center Station (Exit 3). It takes about 40 minutes.
Take a taxi. It takes about 20 minutes and costs about 27 RMB.
From the Train Station
1. South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station
Take the Rail Transit Line 3, get on at the South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station (Yudong Direction)→ get off at the Hongqihegou Station (transfer within the station) →take the Rail Transit Line 6 (Beibei Direction)→ get off at the Lijia Station (transfer to the extension line (the Expo Center Line) of Line 6 within the station)→get off at the International Expo Center Station. It takes about 53 minutes.
Take a taxi. It takes about 40 minutes and costs about 45 RMB.
2. North Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station
Take the Rail Transit Line 10, get on at the North Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station (Wangjiazhuang Direction)→ get off at the Yuelai Station (transfer within the station) →take the Light Rail Line 6 (Lijia Direction)→ get off at the Expo Center Station (Exit 3). It takes about 50 minutes.
Take a taxi. It takes about 30 minutes and costs about 40 RMB.
3. Chongqing Railway Station
Take the Bus 120/115 → get off at the Huahuiyuan Road, walk for 220m to take the Rail Transit Line 6 (Beibei Direction)→get off at the Lijia Station (transfer to the extension line (the Expo Center Line) of Line 6 within the station)→get off at the International Expo Center Station. It takes about 63 minutes.
Take a taxi. It takes about 50 minutes and costs about RMB 60.
4. Chongqingxi Railway Station
Take the Bus g01 → to get off at the Hongqihegou Junction Station, walk for 490m to take the Rail Transit Line 6 (Beibei Direction)→get off at the Lijia Station (transfer to the extension line (the Expo Center Line) of Line 6 within the station)→get off at the International Expo Center Station. It takes about 103 minutes.
Take a taxi. It takes about 51 minutes and costs about 90 RMB.
5. Shapingba Railway Station
Take the Bus 220/183 → get off at the Huahuiyuan Road, walk for 220m to take the Rail Transit Line 6 (Beibei Direction)→get off at the Lijia Station (transfer to the extension line (the Expo Center Line) of Line 6 within the station)→get off at the International Expo Center Station. It takes about 78 minutes.
Take a taxi. It takes about 43 minutes and costs about 66 RMB.
Those arriving by car should make a reservation for parking space while registering for the exhibition. You will have to wait, though, because the online mini program for parking space reservation is being debugged.
There are 11,000 free parking spaces on the north and south sides of the Expo Center. During the 2019 SCE, seven parking lots and 4,026 parking spaces will be added, including 430 for buses, 222 for coaches and 3,374 for cars (including over 90 combined parking spaces). A total of about 15,000 free parking spaces will be provided, solving the parking concerns for self-driving citizens.
Based on the intelligent life, intelligent manufacturing, and intelligent facilities, the Outdoor Smart Experience Area of this SCE will set up over 50 scenarios of life such as AI supermarket, smart health care, face scanning storage, hydrogen fuel vehicles, intelligent navigation, autonomous driving, AR game, and intelligent walking trails. It is worth mentioning that the 5G network will cover all the venues and the Outdoor Smart Experience Area of the Expo Center during the SCE.
Aside from 4,000 newly-added SCE parking spots, Chongqing Central Park, Chongqing Garden Expo Park, and Chongqing Happy Valley will welcome 4,500 spaces at most in Park & Ride (P+R) lots, which have direct buses connecting CIEC.
The 2019 SCE plans to set a catering hall, including a 2,000m2 smart restaurant, which enables self-service order and meal-taking. Moreover, 20 new food suppliers will bring snacks, Chinese food, Western and South Korean fast food, cooked wheaten food, cake, coffee, and prepared food to 80,000 visitors per day at most.
Inside the CIEC stand 14 new service booths to offer information service, resting area, and food to visitors. Corridors within exhibition halls welcome eight resting areas; Smart Town and CIEC witness establishment of nearly 1 km new covered corridor; restrooms in CIEC and along the ring road have been updated. With such efforts, visitors can have a better experience.
