There is only 10 days countdown for Chongqing International Marathon. 2019 Chongqing International Marathon Sports Expo (abbreviated as Expo below) will debut in Chongqing International Conference Center (Nanping) during Mar. 28 - 30.

According to Wei Li, head of the Organizing Committee of Expo and director of the Nan'an District Sports Bureau, said that Expo in 2019 mainly noted as crossover cooperation among sports, tourism, innovation, and services. It is committed to creating an innovative and international sports industry service complex of sports + tourism + innovation, which has become the vane of the development and innovation of the sports industry in Southwest China. The event will set up a marathon exhibition area, ball sports exhibition area, fitness sports exhibition area, outdoor equipment exhibition area, fashion sports exhibition area, children's sports exhibition area. Additionally, it has invited hundreds of companies to participate, which from Multinational companies from Singapore, the United States, France, the Netherlands, and other countries.

 

At the Expo, more than 30,000 participants from Chongqing International Marathon will receive their race equipment, which will drive more than 50,000 professional visitors from the Southwest and even the whole country to visit. Moreover, this year's exhibitors will have a big promotion, while helping promote the consumption of sports，and benefit the public. For example, there are brands will bring their most advanced sports gear and products and have discounts for visitors. There are sponsorship like SF Express, Ali Sports, Xtep, Raffles Hospital, and about 100 enterprises. Running organizations will also have a pavilion in the expo. In 2019, the pavilions in the exhibition will focus more on interaction with visitors, and there are deals such as 99 RMB for registration of Taekwondo, 70% off of TGRUN socks, 50% off of annual pass of shooting club, and etc.

 

It is worth noting that this year's IMSE and the 23rd Chongqing Urban Tourism Festival were held in the same time. Li also indicated that this will also help sports and tourism industry take advantage and help each other to achieve a fusion of sports + tourism + culture and inject new development into the sports tourism market of Chongqing.

 

In recent years, the sports industry in Chongqing has expanded rapidly. By the end of 2017, the total size of the sports industry in Chongqing has reached 36.2 billion yuan. The "Chongqing Sports Industry Accelerated Development Action Plan" pointed out that by 2020, the total size of the sports industry in the city will exceed 50 billion yuan.
