The world-renowned DOTA2 e-sports tournament - Chongqing Major- put on the final at Huaxi Live Ba’nan International Cultural and Sports Center (Abbreviated as Huaxi Stadium) in Chongqing on January 27. After the fierce competition, the team Secret won the championship of Chongqing Major.

The great influence of Chongqing Major 

Chongqing Major is the official first-class tournament of the global Dota 2 e-sports project. It is one of the internationally renowned e-sports tournament, with a huge number of fans and great influence worldwide. Chongqing Major has attracted famous professional Dota teams from China, Europe, North America, South America, Southeast Asia, and other countries and regions to chase after the prize of USD 1 million. Since the start of the event on January 25, over 13,000 people have come to the Huaxi Stadium to watch the game on the spot for the 3-day tournament.  Another huge number of the audience both at home and abroad were watching the Chongqing Major live.

At 4:30 pm, the battle between the finalists Virtus. Pro and team Secret began. The strong matchup between the two aroused deafening cheers and applause from the audience.

At 8:30 in the evening, Team Secret secured the championship with the score 3:1. The team won the trophy in the warm cheers. At the approaching of Chinese New Year, the champion team also said to the Chinese e-sports enthusiasts Happy Chinese New Year in Chinese.

Before the grand final, the exhibition game delivered by Wings and Liquid pushed the excitement to new extremes. Wings, a professional Dota team from Chongqing and the champions of The International 2016, appeared on the stage again after it dismissed years ago. It defeated Liquid, the champions of The International 2017, with a score 1:0.
