Chongqing - Take a tour around Chongqing’s main districts exhibition at the 6th Western China Tourism Industry Expo, you will find the pavilions never stop surprising you.
The pavilion of Dadukou District stands out in the crowd. Red steel gate, old-style motor vehicles, and outdated machinery… the hard-core style makes it one of the most popular pavilions at the expo. The pavilion is based on the theme of Chongqing Industrial Museum in Dadukou District. Chongqing Iron and Steel Group used to locate in that area. After it moved away, the empty factories, warehouse, and machines were left over. People are smart to come out the idea of developing the site into a museum, which can tell the hundred years history of Chongqing’s industrial development. In the pavilion, visitors could also find stylish cultural and creative products related to the industrial topic.
As the original district, Yuzhong District holds the memory and history of Chongqing. Stepping into the Pavilion of Yuzhong District, on one side, visitors can appreciate the prosperous images of Yuzhong District including the famous Jiefangbei CBD and the popular scene of the metro going through the building. On the other side, collective information about the cultural and historical sites remind the visitors of the eventful past of Chongqing.
In the pavilion of Jiulongpo District, different cultural performances were going on. The lady who is the paper-cutting folk culture inheritor was cutting beautiful patterns on paper. Visitors could also appreciate the Chinese tea culture by the tea table. The Jiulong Agilawood Museum represented to showcase the profound Chinese fragrance culture. Inc the pavilion, visitors can also get to know more about the Chongqing Jianchuan Museum, a characteristic museum cluster that showcases the cultural relics related to the War of Resistance, arsenals, folk customs, and the Red Era.
