Part One: Departure Process

1.Customs Declaration

1.1 Declaration location

2.Flight Information

2.1 Distribution of check-in counters

The check-in islands of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport International (Regional) passenger departure flights are 3B and 3C. Among them, counters 33-80 represent the check-in area with Chongqing Aviation Ground Services Co., Ltd. as the agency (excluded China International Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Air Macau), counters 81-96 with Air China as the agency (China International Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Air Macau).

2.2 Check-in counter and time inquiry

Passengers check information on the check-in time, departure time, check-in counter and others concerning the corresponding flight through the guide screen in the middle of Check-in 3B and Check-in 3C.

Having understood certain information, passengers arrange the time to go to the check-in counter. It should be noted that the international (regional) passenger flight check-in counters are open for a fixed time and cannot be processed in advance.

3.Valid credentials

Valid credentials for international (regional) travel are generally passport and visa.

The credentials must be within the validity period and meet the requirements of the country of departure, transit country and destination country. Countries have different regulations and credential requirements for different travel purposes, and it is recommended to consult with airlines in advance.

For those cases when the credentials are inaccurate, invalid or inconsistent, the check-in staff refuses to check-in according to the airline regulations.

4.Check-in procedures

4.1 Boarding pass

4.1.1 Manual handling

The passenger selects the queuing channel according to the screen information displayed by the airline above the check-in counter and waits for the turn. After the previous passenger has completed the application, the valid documents such as passport and visa will be handed over to the staff. After retrieving the boarding pass, passengers need to check carefully whether the credentials are correct and complete, whether the name on the boarding pass, flight information, etc. are correct, and keep in mind the boarding gate and other information. If you have any problems, you need to check with the staff in time.

4.1.2 Self-service

Currently, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has 2 self-check-in devices for international flights, and these devices are only applicable to Thai AirAsia (FD) and Malaysia AirAsia (Long Distance) (D7) flights.

Having finished the boarding pass by the self-service check-in device, the passenger must submit the credentials to the airline inspection counter for verification. If the verification is correct, the staff will stamp the "verification" on the boarding pass.

4.2 Checked baggage

Baggage check-in is generally handled along with the boarding pass. Because relevant national policies are different among airlines, international (regional) passenger flights must strictly implement in accordance with the special regulations of the airlines, under the premise of following the general regulations

4.2.1 General provisions for checked baggage

(a) Limitation of checked baggage

One-piece baggage for international flights can generally not exceed 32 kg, but as for free baggage quota, size limit and excess baggage charges are subject to the official notification of the airline.

(b) The packaging of checked baggage

Two or more packages should not be bundled into one piece; other items should not be attached to the baggage; bamboo baskets, net bags, ropes, straw bags, plastic bags, etc. should not be used as outer packaging for baggage.

4.2.2 Transportation regulations for common dangerous articles

If you carry dry ice, electronic equipment containing lithium batteries, electric wheelchairs and other dangerous articles, you need to inform the check-in staff.

4.2.3 Baggage unpacking inspection process

If the passenger's baggage contains items that need to be inspected, the staff reminds the passenger to unpack the baggage and stamps the information on the bag tag. Guides for international flights lead relevant passengers to the security-check room. After completing the inspection of the open package and security is confirmed, the security personnel will stamp “inspected” on the small tag.

Part Three: Transfer Process

1.International to domestic

1.1 After completing the regular port entry procedure, check in the domestic flight section check-in baggage at the international to domestic transfer counter and enter the waiting area after passing the security check.

2.International to international

Passengers who meet the Chinese “24-hour visa-free transit” policy and whose airlines have filed with the airport customs and frontier in advance may go directly to the International Transfer Office for check-in procedures for the next international flight.

2.1 Baggage

2.1.1 Passengers do not need to pick up their baggage.

2.1.2 If the passenger's baggage needs to be opened for inspection, go to the security checkpoint and open the baggage under the guidance of the staff. After the inspection, the staff will guide you back to the International Transfer Office.

3. Enter the international (regional) passenger departure waiting area via the International Transfer Office and wait for boarding.
