D1: take train from Chongqing to Chengdu.

Kuan Alley and Zhai Alley →  Wuhou Temple → Jinli

Kuan Alley and Zhai Alley is a famous foodie’s street in downtown Chengdu, you can try street food and explore local people’s daily life in the neighbor.

Wuhou Temple located in Wuhou district, it was built in 223. It is the only monarch and temple in China for prestigious Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei and heroes in three kingdoms. It is also the most influential museum of the Three Kingdoms.

D2: Jinsha Site →Du Fu Thatched Cottage → Jiuyanqiao

Jinsha Site is an archaeological site in Chengdu, capital of China's Sichuan Province. The site is located in Qingyang District, along the Modi River. It is named for a nearby street, itself named after the Jinsha River.

Du Fu's Thatched Cottage is a 24-acre (97,000 m2) park and museum in honour of the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu at the western outskirts of Chengdu, adjacent to the Huanhua Xi (Flower Rinsing Creek). In 1961 the Chinese government established Du Fu Cao Tang as a National Heritage site.

D3: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding → Chunxi Street

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, or simply Chengdu Panda Base, is a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. 

Chunxi Street is a signature of downtown Chengdu. It is a street of shopping malls, restaurants, entertainment, and leisure.

 

D4: drive from Chengdu to Mount Qingcheng (back gate) → Tai`an Ancient Town→ Mount Qingcheng

Mount Qingcheng is a mountain in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, China. It is considered one of the birthplaces of Taoism (Daoism) and one of the most important Taoist centres in China. In Taoist mythology, it was the site of the Yellow Emperor's studies with Ning Fengzi. As a centre of the Taoist religion it became host to many temples. The mountain has 36 peaks. It is home to Dujiangyan Giant Panda Center and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mount Qingcheng was affected by the Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008.

D5: Mount Qingcheng → Dujiangyan

Dujiangyan is an ancient irrigation system in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan, China. Originally constructed around 256 BC by the State of Qin as an irrigation and flood control project, it is still in use today. The system's infrastructure develops on the Min River (Minjiang), the longest tributary of the Yangtze. The area is in the west part of the Chengdu Plain, between the Sichuan basin and the Tibetan plateau. 

 

D6: Drive from Dujiangyan to Chengdu, and take train back to Chongqing
