Jiangbei District has extended along the strip of Yangtze and Jialing riverbanks like a necklace, spanning 42.9 kilometers east to west, and between 1.49 to 14.38 kilometers north to south. The district runs adjacent to the river waters, and are surrounded by mountains and springs.
