In May, Liangjiang New Area, Liren Park welcomes thousands of rose Angela flowers to bloom, and a wall of rose flowers there enters its full bloom period. Liren Park uses hanging nets on retaining walls to hang flower rhizomes. Therefore, the pink flowers clime all over the wall, forming a cascade of flowers.

Easeful environment for residents

A series of convenient service facilities, such as leisure pavilions, viewing platforms, leisure seats, featured fitness trails, public toilets, and direct drinking fountains, settle down in the park. Meanwhile, the space design of Liren Park meets the demands of both children and senior people and satisfies other needs for daily leisure and recreation of residents in the surrounding communities.

At the same time, on both sides of the road, local tree species, such as white figs, camphor trees, jacaranda, and so on, are planted as the framework, and sweet olives, crape myrtles, and other beautiful flowers are set around. In this way, The colors of different plants change with the seasons, attracting residents and tourists.

Besides, Liren Park creates a network for everyone to communicate with the neighbors, while residents of the community could not gather together in the past because there was no centralized leisure place. With this park as the center, the lives of residents in the community are becoming more and more varied, with activities like square dancing, rouliqiu (rhythm ball), tai chi, and more.

Beautiful park of steep slopes

In 2020, Liren Park officially opened to the public, and it was awarded as "the Most Beautiful Steep Slope in Chongqing" in the same year. One of the characteristics of Chongqing is that there are many steep slopes and ridges, which can best show the topographic features of the landscape in Chongqing.

Located near the Liren Interchange in the Liangjiang New Area, a greening project, there is a typical mountainous terrain of the slope. The place's original site contains a large number of steep slopes, retaining walls, and vegetable fields cultivated by surrounding residents, with the maximum height difference being about 50 meters.

By utilizing various forms of slopes, retaining walls, and terraces there, the original barren sloping land has been transformed into a three-dimensional recreational leisure space with a high and low drop. According to the principal from Liangjiang New Area Municipal Management and Protection Center, the greening project has adopted several methods to create a slope landscape, which looks like a tapestry. For example, color-blocked shrubs are used for landscaping and rose Angela flowers are hung on the retaining walls to beautify the ugly walls. At the same time, the flora is designed on gentle slopes while the lattice constructions are mulched greeneries ecologically.

However, there is a special terrain in the park, and the original ground is all shale; therefore, there is no way to cover the soil and plant vegetation. To solve this problem and ornament the ground, garden workers use hanging nets on the exposed stones, providing a good growing environment for thousands of rose Angela flowers. In this way, a fantastic three-dimensional landscape is shaped.

During the construction process of Liren Park, the construction concepts of the smart park and sponge park were also incorporated. Hence, the park has some ditches to collect rainwater, repurposing for other water uses. Meanwhile, according to a local investigation of the surrounding residents, many residents yearn for an idyllic life. So while planting aquatic botanical displays, the park also dedicates an area of about 80 square meters to cultivating rice.
