In the last month of spring, the terraced fields, large or small, extend along the undulating hillsides in Chunlong Village, Jielong Town. Well-arranged farmhouses are scattered on the flat terraces, where crops are carefully cultivated.

According to records, the terraced fields at Taihe Village have resulted from the continuous reclamation and cultivation on the hillsides since the Song Dynasty. In early summer, the raised paths through the fields sinuously outline the rippling water in the misty mountains in the morning light.
The gleaming mirror-like paddy fields are dotted with farmers wearing palm-bark rain hats who are plowing the fields, building ridges for paddy fields, or irrigating. That is the most natural pastoral scene! About 10 kilometers from Taihe terraces is the famous Ladder of Love, where you may climb up more than 6,000 steps to feel unwavering love.

Huatian terraces feature the natural, primeval beauty. Stretching down the mountain, the terraces in a variety of shapes and unexpected harmony look from a distance like a high ladder.
