Chongqing- The Wulong Green Development Practice International Forum will take place in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, July 23rd to 25th, 2019, said Lu Hong, head of Wulong District Tuesday.

The event is themed after the lucid waters and lush mountains that are invaluable assets.  It is hosted by Chongqing Wulong District People's Government and organized by Chongqing Wulong Green Think Tank Research Institute and Chongqing Wulong Karst Tourism (Group) Co., Ltd.  The entire forum will focus on promoting green development concepts, exploring green development paths, and sharing Wulong's green development practices.

More than 240 people will attend the forum. These participants are relevant leaders from Chongqing and other provinces as well as some national ministries, officials at foreign consulates in Chengdu and Chongqing, representatives from scientific research institutes, universities, civil society organizations both at home and abroad, as well as enterprises.

Forum highlights in advance

Apart from the central forum-Wulong Green Development Practice International Forum, there will also be four sub-forums. First, explore the path for lucid waters and lush mountains, being invaluable assets. Culture and tourism integration to promote green development. Efficient agriculture with mountain characteristics to promote rural revitalization, and finally, resource sharing to boost open economy development.

The green products exhibition will mainly showcase the environmental industry, green industry, smart tourism, and Wulong in green development. Exhibited products focus on new power vehicles, smart grid power, smart home, smart tourism,  smart and green transportation, green agricultural products, environmentally friendly materials, health care products, etc.

Participating experts will visit tourist attractions, the cultural and creative center, the agricultural economic development base, for investigation and research on green development practice in Wulong. Moreover, cultural exchanges and contract-signing will also be held.

Chongqing Wulong Green Think Tank Research Institute was established in November 2018. It provides decision-making references for the green development of Wulong District, technical, institutional and financial services for enterprises in Wulong District and surrounding areas, and strives to become a national think tank in the field of green development and ecological civilization systems.
