Chongqing- At Projects Promotion of Culture and Tourism in Southwest China, 12 project roadshows from Chongqing, Guizhou, Tibet, Yunnan, and Sichuan were presented in Chongqing International Expo Center,  June 22, 2019. As a main sub-event of the 6^th Western China Tourism Industry Expo, or WTE2019, fully demonstrated the attractive cultural tourism resources in western China.

At Projects Promotion of Culture and Tourism in Southwest China, 12 project roadshows from Chongqing, Guizhou, Tibet, Yunnan, and Sichuan are presented in Chongqing International Expo Center,  June 22, 2019.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism guided the promotion meeting and hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development. It involved roadshows and business negotiations. This innovative project promotion mode attracted more than 100 relevant enterprises for projects development and operation, as well as financial investment institutions from Beijing, Hangzhou, Fujian, Shenzhen, and Chongqing. At the very beginning, the presenter from Chongqing Yuzhong District introduced the renovation and improvement of Shibati, which used to be a residence for local people in downtown Chongqing.

Participating companies said that the mode of roadshows combined with business negotiations paced up the project process, and predicted that capital in Chongqing would be more in the cultural tourism market in the future.

In addition, there was “A tour in Chongqing, a gain in vision” Cultural Tourism Industry Development Summit Forum, another main sub-event of WTE2019 the previous day. The forum gathered travel industry research experts, scholars, and cultural travel project investors to explore new modes, business forms, and ideas for the in-depth integration and development of the cultural tourism industry in western China."Cultural tourism development carries new missions of rural revitalization, digital economy and smart society, opening-up and better livelihood," said Mr. Zhu Mao, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development.
