Enjoy the Springtime Warmth with Creepy Crawlies in Bishan Countryside! – James’ Vlog

Chongqing - For the springtime traveler, there are many hidden treasures to be found in the Chongqing countryside, an example of which is a popular yet relatively little known insect park in Bishan. Today, I am going to explore this intriguing corner of Chongqing on a glorious spring day!

Join me in my latest vlog post as I explore the delights of spring in Mountain City!

Since around 2013, the Bishan countryside has been host to an agricultural technology zone, where organizations research village planning, land, and water management, organic farming, and many other fields.

As our destination approached, I felt impressed by the clean and modern country roads, the richness in the color of neighboring farms, and the neat lines of trees accosting us along the journey. In the background, the rugged green mountain ridges of Bishan and Geleshan formed a picturesque backdrop to either side of this rural valley.

The recent outbreak has meant the insect park hasn't officially re-opened its doors to the public. However, I decided to try my luck this day. I was more than rewarded when the manager Ms. Yu kindly offered to open the museum, show me personally around the park, and also answer questions about how they manage the surrounding organic farm.
