On a grander scale, the project is aimed at turning Zhongyi Township into a model example and milestone in the cause of poverty alleviation in China. These four projects will create long term prosperity for villagers, thanks to new opportunities for training, culture, production, and tourism.

This endeavor will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the CCP, for which the development of Zhongyi township by Sunac Holdings is also dedicated.

The Chuxin (Aspiration) Training Centre

The central vision of the Chuxin Training Centre is to create a source of new-era Chinese thought and strategy in poverty alleviation. In cooperation with Tsinghua University, the goal is to train over 10,000 participants yearly in various practical skills and provide access to further education. Examples of future courses include policy formation, apiculture, and eco-agriculture. Ultimately, it is hoped the Chuxin Training Centre will enhance the cultural standing of Zhongyi Township and promote development in the tourist industry.

Bizikali Intangible Heritage Centre

The founding concept of the Bizikali Intangible Heritage Centre is to demonstrate poverty alleviation through a base for arts and intangible culture. Sunac has teamed with Tsinghua University to establish a base for creative arts in Zhongyi Township. Well known international artists, as well as teachers and students from Tsinghua, will be invited to foster artistic creation, host cultural salons, and hold exhibitions for the works of Zhongyi Township.

Additionally, a research and training program will be on offer for the revival of intangible history related to Chongqing and Sichuan. This endeavor will heighten the profile of folk culture in the region, and organize events for a cultural experience.

The Honey Valley of China

The Honey Valley project presents an opportunity for immersive tourism. The visitor trail will incorporate the existing apiculture and the renovation of dilapidated structures within a six-kilometer long scenic valley. In the future, Sunac foresees this project attracting over 300,000 tourists per year.

The ‘Sweet’ village of Huaxi is located inside this Honey Valley of China. It will be home to further attractions, including Lianxin Courtyard, Fragrant Ravine, Red Heart Forest, Lotus Gardens, and Honey Themed Park.

Banxiang Homestays

The homestay program is aimed at making Zhongyi Township a destination for a high-quality cultural experience. The Fine Arts Department of Tsinghua University has cooperated to renovate old buildings with original materials, whilst equipping them with modern amenities.

Tourists to Zhongyi Township will thus enjoy the benefits of an authentic stay without foregoing the comforts of modern-day life.
