The Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Sichuan Province signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement of Sichuan and Chongqing on Postdoctoral Fellow Development on April 1.

They will share platforms, co-build alliances, jointly provide services, and communicate and interact to promote reasonable flow and effective pooling of postdoctoral fellows in these two places. As a result, the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle will welcome new momentum.

According to the agreement, Sichuan and Chongqing plan to realize platform sharing and mutual complementarity. Helped by respective postdoctoral training platforms, the two are expected to complement each other's advantages in disciplines, provide more postdoctoral mobile stations for workstations, practice bases looking for joint training, and encourage them to recruit and train postdoctoral fellows.

Meanwhile, Sichuan and Chongqing are about to establish a postdoctoral fellow development alliance to integrate platform resources further and benefit from this move. Postdoctoral mobile stations, workstations, and innovative practice bases in the two places can join as members. They will try to be more appealing to Sichuan and Chongqing's talent through cooperation and coordination and woo more and better people to develop there.

Additionally, Sichuan and Chongqing are slated to hold academic exchange activities for postdoctoral fellows, encouraging the units with stations to organize related forums, supporting postdoctoral fellows of these units to participate in major talent activities, and advancing communication among postdoctoral fellows in the two places.

According to Sichuan and Chongqing's departments of human resources and social security, next, the two are going to co-launch special actions on postdoctoral fellow cooperation and recruitment information. They will step up efforts to introduce, care about, and retain talent, to create a young postdoctoral fellow pool in west China. Sichuan and Chongqing might develop into a scientific and technological innovation center with nationwide influence with such efforts.
