The young talent cooperation project partners include WiseNet Asia Pte Ltd., Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), and Yubei District People's Government. Through graduate programs like master's degrees and executive education projects, SIT will develop the human capital of executives in the city.
The three parties will also create a Singapore (Chongqing) young talent station and vigorously encourage young talent from SIT to participate in internships, practical training, and innovation exchanges in the city.
In response to the young talent internship program between China and Singapore, the Singapore (Chongqing) young talent station, based on the young talent station of Yubei District, will start the pilot at Xiantao International Big Data Valley.
The platform will further facilitate young talent from Singapore and other countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative to participate in internships, practical training, business startups, and employment, and contribute to the joint efforts in developing a demonstration platform of young talent cooperation between the two countries.
In September 2019 and May 2020, Yubei District reached talent cooperation agreements with the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The 2019 winter vacation offline group internship and 2020 summer vacation online remote internship programs went smoothly.
Furthermore, implementing the talent cooperation project with SIT is another achievement in the innovative cooperation and exchanges of young talent between Singapore and China.
The station plans to gradually develop strategic cooperation with all six public universities in Singapore, such as Singapore University of Social Sciences and Singapore Management University, and comprehensively promote extensive and regular interaction and exchanges among young talent from Chongqing and Singapore.
