Chongqing- The NEIV2021 China (Chongqing) New Energy Smart Vehicle Industry Summit will be held at Chongqing Yuelai Convention Center from May 21 to 22, with over 200 organizations attending and nearly 300 industry representatives discussing the latest trends and measures in the automotive industry.

As one of the important summits of the 3rd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), it will focus on the market and standards, technology, management, and capital of the new energy smart vehicle industry.

Opening up the information chain, upgrading the industrial chain, integrating the innovation chain, sharing the supply chain, and coordinating the value chain, the summit will invite automotive companies, new energy vehicles, intelligent connected vehicles, auto supplies companies, financial institutions, university scientific research institutions, industry associations, and over 200 institutions.

The summit will also follow up on market hotspot trends, covering eight topics, including car companies and product access management, carbon neutralization, battery large-scale industrialization, automotive lidar development, and progress in automotive lightweight applications.

Industry representatives in the automotive industry, including Chen Qingquan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Professor of the University of Hong Kong, Hu Jing, chief expert of the National Intelligent Auto Parts Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, Chongqing Jinkang SERES Automobile Co., Ltd., Lei Jingxin, Professor of the Sichuan University, etc.

Statistics show that in the first quarter of 2021, Chongqing achieved a gross regional product of 599.525 billion yuan (93.26 billion U.S. Dollars), a year-on-year increase of 18.4%. The automobile industry contributed the most to Chongqing’s industrial growth, with a year-on-year increase of 60.9%, becoming the "first engine" of local industry.

As an important node city of the Belt and Road, the development of the automobile and motorcycle industry in Chongqing has played an important role in expanding the domestic demand of the automobile and parts industry in the western region.

More importantly, it is also to promote international circulation trade cooperation further and enhance the high-quality and coordinated development of the automobile and motorcycle industry in the western region.

Additionally, the summit will play a key role in building up the transfer of automobile industry technology, adjusting and balancing the structure of the automobile industry in China, expanding the domestic demand of the automobile and its parts industry in the western region, promoting international exchanges and trade cooperation in the automobile industry, and stimulating the high-quality and coordinated development of the automobile industry.

Meanwhile, the summit will also release the 2021 Key Auto Parts Recommended Catalog to provide a strong basis for strengthening the chain of the automobile industry in the western region.
