“From January to April, 35 of the 39 industrial sectors in Chongqing achieved year-on-year growth in added value, becoming a driving force for industrial economic growth in Chongqing,” said the person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Statistics 

Among the main industries, some of them achieved growth, including the automobile industry by 44%, the motorcycle industry by 24.3%, the electronics industry by 42.8%, the equipment industry by 32.1%, the pharmaceutical industry by 16.7%, the materials industry by 23.6%, consumer goods industry by 15.2%, and the energy industry by 7.3%.

Meanwhile, from January to April, among the 391 industrial products in Chongqing, the output of 293 products achieved year-on-year growth, including automobiles up 83.3% year-on-year, motorcycles up 1.4%, microcomputer equipment up 59.2%, mobile phones up 41.4%, Liquid-crystal display (LCD) increased by 66.8%, steel increased by 36.9%, aluminum increased by 43.2%, and cement increased by 24.3%.

Additionally, the sales rate of the industrial enterprises in Chongqing reached 99%, a year-on-year increase of 1.6 percentage points. As a result, the regulated industrial enterprises achieved an export delivery value of 150.963 billion yuan（23.564 billion US dollars), up 37.5% year on year.
