Chongqing- The 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) officially kicked off in Beijing on September 2, where Chongqing has organized a delegation of enterprises to attend the fair online or offline.

In the online exhibition area, the city has registered 21 enterprises and institutions, including CISDI Chongqing, Pathea Games Chongqing, and Chongqing Hongyi Jiuzhou, covering fields in medical care, big data, logistics, intelligent manufacturing, engineering technology, culture, software, biomedicine, etc.

Highlights of the offline exhibition area

Chongqing has set up an offline exhibition area at the comprehensive exhibition hall of the National Convention Center. A new-generation straddle-type monorail train model is placed across the mainly orange exhibition area, showing its magnificence.

The area consists of two parts, involving physical exhibition and thematic exhibition. The former presents products of five enterprises, including Stream of Consciousness VR wearable devices from Dream Technology, monorail technology model of Chongqing, medicines from Aolong Biological, etc.

Under the theme of Chongqing Services, six sections were involved, including investment environment, international logistics, digital trade, culture and tourism, engineering technology, and biomedicine.

Furthermore, Chongqing's enterprises, districts, and counties, such as Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park, displayed corresponding content in the form of text and pictures.

In addition to the exhibition, Chongqing eAbas, Zhubajie Network, and Chongqing Jianfeng Industrial Technology Service have applied for the 2021 service demonstration cases. 

First comprehensive exhibition for trade in services worldwide

CIFTIS is one of the three exhibition platforms for China's opening to the world and the first comprehensive exhibition for trade in services worldwide.

This year's CIFTIS is themed "Towards Digital Future and Service Driven Development."  During the event, five summit forums, 119 themed forums, and industry conferences were held, focusing on the cutting-edge tech trends in 12 fields of trade in services and hot topics such as the digital economy and digital trade development.

Hosts for the five forums include the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Development Research Center of the State Council, the World Tourism Cities Federation, and the Beijing municipal government.

More than 10,000 enterprises from 153 countries and regions have registered for online and offline exhibitions. Two thousand four hundred enterprises participate in the offline exhibition, with Fortune Global 500 or industry-leading ones accounting for 18%.

Additionally, the digital platform of CIFTIS has set up 4,863 online booths, and trade delegations have organized 5,929 enterprises to participate in the exhibition to negotiate for cooperation.
