Among them, the first international cross-border freight train of the ILSTC between China and Vietnam (Chongqing Guoyuan Port-Hanoi of Vietnam) on March 26 provides another convenient “southern channel” for products in the western region.

Furthermore, the Yangtze River and Indo-China Peninsula international intermodal freight train of the ILSTC departed from Guoyuan Port on April 7.

This marks the first international multimodal freight train to Myanmar undertaken by Guoyuan Port, linking the Yangtze River Economic Belt and Indo-China Peninsula through intermodal river transport, rail, road, and sea.

In only 12 days, two international freight trains started from Guoyuan Port. This is closely related to the increasingly mature multimodal transport system and intelligent levels of Guoyuan Port.

Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone

At present, Guoyuan Port has built 165,000-ton berths and 14 special railway lines, with a capacity of over 30 million tons.

Guoyuan Port has achieved four intermodal modes of the river, rail, road, and sea and four open channels in the direction of east, west, north, and south.

Additionally, the construction of Guoyuan Port is also speeding up.

Up to now, the roadbed construction of the supporting road network project of Chongqing Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone, previously known as Lianglu Cuntan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, has been completed, and the pipe network construction progress is close to 70%.

The plan reveals that the main construction of the supporting road network project of Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone will be completed by the end of June this year.

With a planned area of 0.78 square kilometers, Chongqing Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone has a water port and an airport functional area.

The Zone will develop a global trade and logistics network based on bonded warehousing for complete vehicles and parts, electronic products, and high-end equipment.

Other plans involve building an international commodity circulation and an international bulk commodity trading and distribution system featuring an international fresh cold chain and medical supply chain.
