Chongqing- As a landmark project in the Chongqing International Business District, the International Land-Sea Center, also known as Chongqing 100, has its rooftop officially sealed on June 18.

With a total building height of 458 meters and a total building volume of more than 500,000 square meters, Chongqing 100 is the tallest building under construction in Chongqing, and the tallest building that has been capped in Western China. It ranks among the top 20 super high-rise buildings around the world.
The business format includes a 230,000-square-meter super grade A office building, a 100,000-square-meter theme shopping center, and a city skyline hotel. The theme shopping center will open for business on December 29 and has signed a contract with the first store of many brands such as Galeries Lafayette.
“We want to bring Chongqing, the International Land-Sea Center (Chongqing 100), a new concept store focusing on a unique vision with French art and creative inspiration”, according to Philippe Pedone, head of international development at Galeries Lafayette, through a video speech during the event.
“After the project of the International Land-Sea Center is capped and put into use, it will become another new consumption landmark in Chongqing, which will inject a strong impetus into Yuzhong District to build an international consumption center city,” said Deng Guanghuai, vice governer of Yuzhong District People’s Government during a press conference on 17 June.
Deng continued, “next, Yuzhong District will strengthen the linkage with Vanke, continue to introduce world-renowned brand global, national and regional center stores, flagship stores, and a full range of product stores, and jointly build the International Land-Sea Center into the first choice for internationally renowned brands and the destination for international and domestic consumers.”
Meanwhile, in terms of cultural and tourism consumption, the project has signed a contract with Banyan Tree, the world’s top luxury hotel brand offering hot springs nestled within Jinyun Mountain in Beibei, to build the world’s highest Banyan Tree business resort hotel and attract people from all over the world to experience.
In terms of service consumption, the International Land-Sea Center has introduced the flagship store of Neobio Family Park, which will accelerate the upgrading of the consumption structure among local residents.
Neobio Family Park, a one-stop high-end parent-child play place, integrates entertainment facilities, professional book courses, and children’s themed activities, providing experiential play and game space for children aged 0-10 years old. Currently, it has been distributed in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Nanjing, and other cities.
Relying on the International Land-Sea Center, Chongqing will further strengthen its efforts to “bring in and go global”, and introduce, digest, and absorb funds, projects, and technologies from home and abroad, especially from countries along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC).
It is planned to gather more than 30 fortune 500 companies, over 10 international organizations, and over 500 foreign brands by 2025, becoming a bridgehead for Chongqing to carry the national plan of the ILSTC, and a gathering place for high-quality foreign investment in the western region.
