Chongqing- Clearwater rippled on the surface, the egrets flew in the air, and many citizens came to breathe fresh air and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Fengqi Lake, another ecological lake park after Fengming Lake in Chongqing, Southwest China.

Recently, the construction of the water conservancy project of Fengqi Lake is almost complete and is to be opened next year at the Western (Chongqing) Science City in southwestern China.

According to the Chongqing High-tech Zone Development And Investment Group Co. Ltd., Fengqi Lake Park is located in the core area of the Science City, covering a total area of about 0.56 square kilometers.

In the future, it will be built into a comprehensive urban park focusing on ecological science, providing another "green lung" and citizen garden for scientists, entrepreneurs, and nearby residents.

Rainwater Filtration

Fengqi Lake Park is adjacent to Jinfeng Laboratory and the talent community of Science City. It adopts natural and modern design methods and takes ecology, science, and humanities as the themes to create an ecological and livable urban park environment.

"At present, the construction of the Fengqi Lake project is nearing completion, and the construction of the entire water conservancy project is basically completed except for the ecological water part," said an employee of the Chongqing High-tech Zone Development And Investment Group Co. Ltd.

With a total water area of nearly 0.09 square kilometers, Fengqi Lake Park's water ecological treatment project uses a rainwater diversion filtration system to solve the problem of no running water supply and ensure the water quality of the park reaches the Grade IV type of national surface water quality standards.

The Grade IV type is mainly suitable for general industrial water areas and recreational water areas that are not in direct contact with the human body.

Park landscaping

In the construction of park landscaping, colorful plants and local tree species are used. The park's waters are connected to underwater ecological construction, where the park is embellished with modern architectural sketches, integrating scientific elements into the landscape.

Fengqi Lake Park adopts a natural and modern design method. It is divided into several areas according to the user population and the site's space structure. They are connected in series by cycling paths, leisure walks, and waterfront loops.

Next, the installation of street lamps, intelligent garbage cans, and other facilities will begin in succession. The entire park is expected to be officially unveiled next year.
