Chongqing - On July 1, the Perception of Chongqing · Goodwill Communication Activity Series was held in Chengkou County and featured an aerial photography live broadcast with two anchors, Tan Xiaoxue and James from Chongqing International Communication Center. Over 1.6 million people worldwide watched the live broadcast, appreciating the ecological beauty and industrial development of Kanggu Scenic Area, Gaoguan Town, Fangdouping Village, and other places in Chengkou County.

"I hope this live broadcast will deepen overseas audiences' understanding of Chongqing and introduce  China and Chongqing to the world," said the event organizer.

Splendid landscape 

The live broadcast started at the Kanggu Scenic Spot, located east of Chengkou County. With a 90 percent forest coverage rate, it is an excellent natural oxygen bar and summer paradise.

In recent years, relying on rich natural ecological resources, Chengkou County has developed global tourism with "Daba Mountain Forest Family" as the core brand. Up to now, the county has built seven "Daba Mountain Forest Family" leisure areas, driving more than 3,000 poor households out of poverty and increasing their income.

The Kangjiazhai Scenic Spot adopts the traditional architectural forms of stilted buildings, stone walls, and thatched roofs, allowing tourists to experience the production and life of the ancient people.

The Kanggu Tourist Resort has been rated as a Chongqing municipal-level tourist resort, which prepares tourists as a place for leisure, sightseeing, accommodation, conference, and exhibition.

Rural revitalization

The second stop came to Gaoguan Town, the central market town in the eastern part of Chengkou County, one of the important walnut-producing areas in the country.

In recent years, Gaoguan Town has developed the walnut industry, driving more than 7,000 people in the town to plant more than 13,000 acres of walnuts. In addition, it built two walnut high-yield demonstration gardens with a total area of 1,000 acres, attracting more than 2,000 villagers to work nearby.

Gaoguan Town is a microcosm of Chengkou's industrial development and efforts to realize rural revitalization. Chengkou County took advantage of its unique geographical advantages and climatic conditions to develop traditional Chinese medicinal materials, edible fungi, chickens, and bacon.

Heaven in a mountain

The third stop is Fangdouping Village, situated on one of the peaks of Daba Mountain in Gaonan Town of Chengkou County. It is named Fangdouping because high mountains surround it, and the bottom of the dam is wide, shaped like a giant bucket.

The original forest in Fangdouping Village is well preserved, with abundant rare and endangered species. There are wooden houses that are warm in winter and cool in summer and colorful slate houses.

 "This is a good place for people to chill out and keep healthy." Fangdouping Village was listed as a traditional Chinese village, known as "the last primitive village of Daba Mountain."
